Premise: off-the-shelf AI fails on real business work because it is generic; a tool tailored to one specific task, tested against the company's real data, with a human in the loop where the machine is not confident, is what actually gets adopted. Fixed-fee engagements sized for a mid-size company rather than an enterprise, delivered in weeks. Best fit for document- and data-heavy back-office work: invoice reading and categorization, matching free-text orders to a catalog, contract review, pulling structured data from PDFs and emails, and rebuilding manual monthly reports.
